UNDERGRADUATE REQUIREMENTS
The undergraduate program in Industrial Engineering and Management requires 136 credit hours. Of the 136 credit hours, 112 credit hours are required core courses of IE & M, 24 credit hours are elective courses in three areas – Information Management, Quality & Services Management, and Manufacturing Management. The remaining credit hours involve three IE & M personality courses of “Engineering Communications”, “Creative Problem Solving” and “Research Methodology”, and courses of general study. Interdisciplinary programs such as Semiconductor Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management and Industrial Safety are also available for IE & M undergraduate students. Internship in manufacturing or service industries is required for undergraduate students. It is generally carried out in summer for junior students with a minimum of six full-time weeks. Each student entering the IE & M undergraduate program will be assigned an academic advisor who will supervise his/her course arrangement and activities on campus.
